Gamma frequency
Near D♯1 · λ 857.5 cm
40 Hz is a very low bass tone that matches the brain’s gamma rhythm; on a vibrating plate it produces a few large, simple nodal regions.

Deep bass tone

How to read these pages
Each page lists the nearest musical note in standard tuning (A4 = 440 Hz) and how far off it is in cents — one cent is a hundredth of a semitone. The wavelength is the length of one sound wave in air at room temperature, and the simulator mode shows which standing-wave shape CymaVis uses for that frequency in classic Chladni mode.
